
MOSCOW, June 26 US commercial oil reserves (excluding the strategic reserve) unexpectedly increased by 3.6 million for the week ending June 21 barrels, or 0.8%, to 460.7 million barrels, follows from the weekly review of the Energy Information Administration of the country's Ministry of Energy.
Analysts surveyed by the DailyFX portal, on the contrary, expected a decrease in reserves by 3 million barrels.
Oil reserves at the country's largest terminal in Cushing decreased to 33.9 million barrels from 34 .1 million.
US gasoline inventories increased by 2.7 million barrels (1.1%), to 233.9 million barrels. Analysts had expected a decline of 1.1 million barrels. Distillate inventories decreased by 0.4 million barrels (0.3%), to 121.3 million barrels, a decline of 1.5 million barrels was forecast.
