On the night of June 28, it became known that train traffic had been restored on the Inta-1 – Ugolny section of the Northern Railway after a serious incident caused by the erosion of an embankment and the derailment of passenger train cars. The railway workers were able to quickly restore the track by laying 200 meters of new rail and sleeper grating and leveling it with special equipment. It is planned to raise the dismounted cars to fully restore traffic, representatives of the Northern Railway said in a Telegram.
Unfortunately, as a result of the incident, the bodies of two passengers were found, and the search for the third passenger continues. Relatives of the victims will receive an insurance payment, and the victims who were in the hospital will be paid appropriate compensation.
«The relatives of the victims will receive an insurance payment in the amount of 2 million 25 thousand rubles. In addition, it was decided to pay an additional 2 million rubles from the company,» the message says.
Passengers of those who overturned wagons, received comprehensive assistance and support from the railway services. Their comfort and safety were a priority in this situation.
Currently, only two passenger trains are delayed: No. 117 Labytnangi — St. Petersburg and No. 309 Vorkuta — Adler.
