The new SUV will hit the home market before the end of this year. The model will be offered with a hybrid installation or as a full-fledged electric car.
The exterior of the Avatr 07 crossover was declassified in May, and in mid-June a portion of spy photos of the interior was posted online. Now official footage of the S7’s interior has been published, and several more promotional videos have appeared. Let us remind you that the Avatr brand is a joint project of Changan, IT giant Huawei and battery manufacturer CATL. The SUV with the index 07 will become the third model in the range: it will join the older crossover Avatr 11 and the Avatr 12 sedan.
Like the exterior, the interior of the new SUV will be designed in the brand's signature style. The «seven» will get a «flattened» steering wheel, a display under the windshield that spans almost the entire width of the front panel, and a huge central tablet. By the way, marketers are promoting the most advanced version of Avatr 07 — with cameras instead of the usual exterior mirrors. So, additional displays will be installed along the edges of the display that will show the image from the cameras.

In the latest videos, another feature of the crossover’s appearance has become noticeable: at the base of the hood it will have a digital panel. You can project a greeting or simple animation onto it. However, this is not exclusive to the “Seven” — a similar solution is provided for other Avatr models.

The length of Avatr 07 is 4825 mm, width – 1980 mm, height – 1620 mm, wheelbase – 2940 mm. For comparison, the dimensions of Avatr 11 are: 4880/1970/1601 mm, the distance between the axles is 2975 mm. At the same time, the “seven” has a full-fledged five-door body, while the older crossover has a trunk lid that lifts without a rear window (like a sedan).

The new product will be offered in the form of a hybrid or electric car (Avatr 11 and Avatr 12 are only “electric cars”). The hybrid Avatr 07 will include a 1.5 petrol turbo engine (operating in generator mode); this SUV will have two modifications: with a 314-horsepower electric motor on the rear axle and dual-motor all-wheel drive, the total output of the second option is 492 hp. The pure electric cross will also be available with both rear-wheel drive (343 hp) and all-wheel drive (598 hp). There is still no information about batteries.
Avatr 07 should premiere in the third quarter of this year.
