MOSCOW, June 28Congo is counting on the development of its agriculture together with Russia; as a result of negotiations, the Russian Federation could help the country in the production of agricultural products, rice, corn, soybeans, and in the areas of livestock and poultry farming, the head of the republic, Denis Sassou Nguesso, said in an interview.
«»The main emphasis in our current development plan for 2022-2026 is on the development of agriculture. We think that based on the results of the negotiations that we will hold in Moscow, Russia could help the Congo in the production of agricultural products, rice, corn, soybeans, in the areas of livestock and poultry farming. This topic is the focus of our attention today,” Sassou Nguesso said. 
He emphasized that Congo has vast agricultural lands and a suitable climate, so Russian companies could take part in the development of agriculture.
“»Subject to significant investment, with the support of our Russian friends, there is a chance for the development of this sector,» added the Congolese leader.
