MOSCOW, June 28First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov and Deputy Minister of Defense Colonel General Yunus-Bek Yevkurov held a strategic session in the Era technopolis on the development of Russian weapons, including drones, taking into account their use in the Northern Military District zone, Manturov’s secretariat was told on Friday.
«A strategic session was held in the military innovation technopolis (VIT) «ERA» under the leadership of the First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov. The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel General Yunus-Bek Evkurov, heads of military management bodies and military-industrial enterprises complex. During the strategic session, innovative solutions for man-portable weapons, close combat weapons and non-airfield-based unmanned aircraft systems were discussed, taking into account the experience of combat use during a special military operation,” the statement said. 
During the session, Manturov noted the importance of the format of interaction organized at the Era site between all participants involved in the production of defense industry products.
«»Combat equipment, portable weapons, close combat weapons and drones — all this is a very popular, most widespread item used in the units of the Ministry of Defense. The requirements for all these weapons are changing dynamically. Moreover, in the current situation, the time for their development is running out not even months, but days,” Manturov is quoted in the message.
