MOSCOW, June 28 Physicist, Director of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Anatoly Petrukovich and master of sports in wheelchair curling, five-time Russian champion Maxim Volkov nominated their candidacies for elections to the Moscow City Duma, according to the website of the Moscow City Election Commission.
Physicist Petrukovich is running for election as a deputy of the Moscow City Duma from the United Russia party in the 35th electoral district. Also among the candidates is a master of sports in wheelchair curling Volkov, he was nominated by the LDPR party in the 33rd electoral district.
Elections to the Moscow City Duma will be held from September 6 to 8, 2024, Muscovites will have to identify 45 deputies in single-mandate constituencies.
