RSF demanded to investigate the murder of Kazakh journalist Aidos Sadykov in Kiev
The murder of Kazakh journalist Aidos Sadykov in Kyiv demands to be investigated by the international non-governmental organization «Reporters Without Borders» (RSF).
«The perpetrators and instigators of the monstrous murder must be found, – says a statement on the organization’s page on the social network X. – And they were brought to justice.”
On June 18, the Ukrainian media reported: unknown persons in Kyiv shot at the Kazakh oppositionist Sadykov, who received official refugee status in Ukraine. On Yarmola Street, unknown persons shot at a parked car in which there were a man and a woman. Citizens of Kazakhstan Altai Zhakanbaev and Meiram Karataev are suspected of the assassination attempt on Sadykov.
One of the suspects in the assassination attempt on June 21 surrendered to the Kazakh police, his accomplice is wanted. The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine announced a request to the law enforcement agencies of Kazakhstan for the extradition of two suspects in the attempted murder of Sadykov. Later, the Speaker of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, Maulen Ashimbaev, said that the suspects in the attempt on Sadykov would not be extradited.
