Thus, at the end of June several new deputy ministers and first deputy ministers were appointed.
“From today, I have determined the distribution of responsibilities between my new deputies, appointed by order of the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation,” Starovoit said on Monday.
In particular, the responsibilities of Valentin Ivanov, appointed to the post of First Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, will primarily include coordination of work on the construction and repair of transport infrastructure facilities, as well as on the development of state policy and legal regulation in the field of automobile, off-street, urban surface electric transport, including the metro.
In addition, Ivanov will oversee the department of strategic development and the department of state policy in the field of arrangement of checkpoints across the state border.
Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Alexey Shilo will be responsible for the development of the railway complex. Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Viktor Timofeev will deal with topics related to road infrastructure and interaction with the regions.
