A man was detained in Moscow for a tattoo insulting the Russian Armed Forces

MOSCOW, July 2 A visitor from the Tula region was detained in Moscow for a tattoo that insults the Russian Armed Forces, the press service of the capital's Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told reporters.
According to the police, a video appeared on one of the social networks in which a 32-year-old man showed a tattoo with an obscene expression addressed to the Russian army.

"An administrative violation report was drawn up against the detainee, provided for in Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation «Public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in order to protect the interests of the Russian Federation and its citizens, maintaining international peace and security» and part 2 of article 20.1. Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Petty hooliganism,” the department said in a statement.

The suspect was detained at his place of temporary residence in the south-west of Moscow and taken to the police department. There he repented of what he had done, noting that by his act he had offended many people, including those in the Northern Military District. The detainee also asked for forgiveness and promised to remove the tattoo.
