FSB officers detained a 16-year-old teenager in the Kaluga region on charges of setting fire to a battery cabinet at the Lyudinovo-2 railway station. This was reported by the Western Interregional Department of the UK for Transport.
A criminal case was opened against the teenager for sabotage committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy (clause “a” of part 2 of article 281 of the Criminal Code). According to the security forces, the young man was “proposed to set fire to the equipment on June 28 by a person who actively supports the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”
“The curator persuaded the minor to commit a crime by deception,” promising him 50 thousand rubles, the Investigative Committee said in a statement.
The interlocutor sent the young man instructions and asked him to film the arson. The detainee admitted guilt and repented, the department added.
The arrest of a 16-year-old schoolboy in the Kaluga region was reported today by the Shot and Astra telegram channels. According to their information, the fire occurred on the stretch between Lyudinovo-1 and Lyudinovo-2 stations.
