«All statements about peace talks are a deliberate deception of Russia»
The proposal of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to Zelensky about a ceasefire is just beautiful words, in fact, a major provocation and war is being prepared against Russia. This was told to MK by military expert, head of the Center for the Study of Military and Political Conflicts Andrei Klintsevich, commenting on the results of Orban's visit to Kyiv.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who is opposed to the transfer of weapons to Ukraine, during his visit to Kyiv asked Zelensky to consider the possibility of a ceasefire in order to then begin negotiations on resolving the conflict. According to military expert Andrei Klintsevich, the offer that was made to Zelensky is more like a political game.
“Honestly, I don’t think this is a realistic proposal,” Klintsevich said. “I think it’s just a beautiful political statement, nothing more.” It has nothing to do with reality. Orban himself also understands this very well.
– You see, Orban has bypassed this issue and is acting in the context of the general concept of the European Union that Zelensky is a legitimate president. As for the negotiating group, in fact, Zelensky’s legitimacy is not taken into account at all, because he will not conduct the negotiations. Commissions are always created, as was the case, for example, during the Istanbul Agreements. They took place at the level of representatives from Russia and Ukraine. People were appointed who were responsible for signing this or that document from the outside and for their approval.
— No, under no circumstances. I have a feeling that a diplomatic fog is being deliberately cast in our direction, there is talk of negotiations, but in reality a big provocation is being prepared, a big war against Russia. If you look at the actions of the Europeans and everyone else, there is no talk of a negotiating position. Rather, there will be the introduction of a European contingent, an increase in rates and an escalation of the conflict.
