BRATISLAVA, July 3 Deputy Prime Minister of Slovakia, head of the ministry Defense Robert Kaliniak assured in an interview with the Diskusia na palete program that no force would force Slovakia to send military personnel to Ukraine.
«I cannot imagine that there could be any force that would force us to send military personnel to Ukraine,» Kalinyak said.
He recalled that back in February, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that he would rather resign than allow the Slovak military to participate in the war in Ukraine. Kalinyak noted that journalists initially laughed at the prime minister’s words, but time has shown that ideas about involving the military of European countries in the conflict really exist.
Kaliniak recalled that Slovakia stands for an early ceasefire in Ukraine and the start of peace negotiations.
