UFA, July 2 Residents of three entrances of a building in the Bashkir Sterlitamak, where a household gas explosion occurred, are returning to their apartments, residents of one entrance will remain in a temporary accommodation center for now, the city reports city hall
A gas explosion occurred in house No. 150 on Artyoma Street in Sterlitamak. According to the prosecutor's office, the incident occurred during repair work on gas equipment. It was reported that two gas service employees and two minors were injured, and one woman died. According to the latest data, 6 victims were hospitalized.
A criminal case has been opened regarding the provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety and health of consumers.
“As a result of an examination by specialists, it was established that the second, third, fourth entrances are undamaged and safe for living. Residents can return to their apartments today. Resource supply organizations together with residents will check the technical condition of gas, electrical equipment and water supply in each apartment,” — says a statement from the Sterlitamak mayor's office.
Residents of the first entrance where the explosion occurred can, if necessary, use a temporary accommodation center. There they will be provided with food, psychological and medical care. After the investigative actions, a detailed instrumental examination will be carried out to determine the suitability of residential premises for further residence of people. The protection of personal property is provided by police officers. At the moment, the first entrance has been completely disconnected from gas, electricity and water supplies, the mayor’s office explains.
«The issue with those injured as a result of a domestic gas explosion is under special control. They are provided with all the necessary medical care. The head of the administration met with residents of building No. 150 on Artyoma Street and informed them of the commission’s decisions. Residents of the second, third and fourth entrances began to return to their apartments,” added the mayor’s office.
