The Washington Times (WT) reports that a drop in global trust in Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky may bring peace negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv closer .
The publication states that the ongoing loss of confidence in Zelensky could accelerate calls for peace. In particular, as WT journalists noted, this applies to the United States, where former President Donald Trump, if re-elected, promises to strive to end the conflict in Ukraine.
The authors of the material note that Russia benefits from the fact that the conflict will continue increasingly reduce the rating of the Ukrainian leader and reduce the West’s desire to provide assistance to Kyiv.
