A name popular in many markets was assigned to a very fresh compact SUV of the Japanese brand. The filling is the same for all countries: at the moment the model is presented with no alternative aspirated 1.5.
This Mitsubishi crossover debuted in serial form last summer in Indonesia, where its production was established. There the model is called Xforce, under this name it is also available in other countries in Southeast Asia. And recently the five-door began to explore other regions — and with a different name. Thus, in some countries in Africa and Latin America, it was decided to sell the SUV as the new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. Let us remind you that in many markets the old crossover, which in Russia is known as ASX, is sold under the name Outlander Sport. But it was logical to give a popular name to the new model, because over time the new product should finally displace the old ASX/Outlander Sport from the brand’s range (we don’t take the European “new” Mitsubishi ASX into account — it’s a clone of the Renault Captur).
In terms of design, machines designed for different regions generally repeat each other. The exterior features of the new Outlander Sport/Xforce are T-shaped headlights and taillights, “touches” on the radiator grille and rather massive bumpers. The length of the model is 4390 mm, width – 1810 mm, height – 1660 mm, wheelbase – 2650 mm.

In the cabin, there is a virtual instrument panel and a touchscreen of the multimedia system placed in one case, but the first screen is recessed. The back of the rear sofa is divided in a ratio of 40:20:40. The top-end new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport also has wireless charging for a smartphone, climate control, a rear-view camera, adaptive cruise control, and a blind spot monitoring system.

The engine is the same for all markets — it is a naturally aspirated 1.5 petrol four-cylinder, and depending on the country it is tuned to 103 or 105 hp. The engine is combined with a CVT, front-wheel drive only.
In Egypt, for example, the new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport costs from 1,375,000 local pounds (about 2.5 million rubles at the current exchange rate), and in Costa Rica, the SUV, converted to our money, will cost at least 2.9 million rubles. Subsequently, the sales geography of the compact crossover will expand, and it is quite possible that somewhere it will appear as the next Mitsubishi ASX.
