Orders for the five-door are already being accepted, although a full presentation is still ahead. According to preliminary data, the new product will be available in two rear-wheel drive versions.
Xpeng released the first official images of its new electric car Mona M03 in May-June. And today in China they held a static presentation. However, the manufacturer has so far focused on the exterior design — the interior has not yet been shown. Let us remember that it was previously believed that Mona would become a budget sub-brand of Xpeng: this word stands for Made Of New AI, that is, “made based on new artificial intelligence.” In fact, Mona turned out to be just a new inexpensive line. In addition, it turned out that the “troika” is not a sedan at all, as previously assumed, but a liftback.

Exterior features of the Mona M03 include T-shaped headlights and taillights, a smooth nose, retractable door handles and exterior mirrors on separate legs. The length of the liftback is 4780 mm, width – 1896 mm, height – 1445 mm, wheelbase – 2815 mm. Xpeng is particularly proud of its drag coefficient: it is 0.194. The stated trunk volume is 621 liters. The model is equipped with 19-inch wheels.
It is expected that the Xpeng Mona M03 will be offered in two rear-wheel drive versions. The basic liftback will have a 190-horsepower electric motor, while the more expensive version will have a 218-horsepower one. The battery capacity is still not disclosed. At the same time, some Chinese specialized media write that the range will be 515 or 620 km.

On the Xpeng consumer website you can already leave a request for a liftback, but there are no prices yet. Previously, the company claimed that models of the Mona family will cost in the range of 100,000 — 150,000 yuan (about 1.2 million — 1.78 million rubles at the current exchange rate). For comparison, the cheapest Xpeng electric car, the P5 sedan, will now cost at least 156,900 yuan (1.87 million rubles). The full premiere of the M03 should be held in August.
It is assumed that the “electric trains” of the Mona series will also will supply local rental and taxi services. By the way, according to preliminary data, the company DiDi, which is known as a provider of transport services, participated in the creation of the “troika”.
