KRASNODAR, July 4 A resident of the Krasnodar Territory, detained while trying to leave for Ukraine to participate in hostilities against the Russian Armed Forces, received 6 years in a maximum security colony, they reported journalists at the Russian FSB Directorate for Kuban.
It is clarified that employees of the regional FSB detained Oleg Eliseev while attempting to enter the territory of Ukraine as part of the work to identify those wishing to join the ranks of Ukrainian paramilitary associations recognized as terrorist and banned in the Russian Federation.
«The decision of the Southern District Military Court has entered into legal force to find Oleg Vladimirovich Eliseev, a resident of the Krasnodar Territory, guilty of preparing to participate in the activities of a terrorist organization and committing high treason in the form of defecting to the enemy; he was sentenced to imprisonment for a term for 6 years with serving the sentence in a high-security penal colony,” the statement says.
He was charged with preparation for treason and participation in the activities of a terrorist organization, the department added.
