Currently, the pickup truck is presented in foreign markets with rear-wheel drive. But in its homeland, the model recently acquired a twin-engine version.
In China, an electric pickup truck with the RD6 index debuted in 2022, where it is sold under the Radar brand, which belongs to the Geely Auto holding. In 2023, Geely announced that it had begun producing these cars for export, but the list of markets was not announced at that time. Now he is famous. So, the truck has already appeared in some Latin American countries. Thailand and, apparently, Southeast Asia in general are next in line. The pickup truck is also expected in Australia and Africa. It’s just that the RD6 was eventually decided to be sold abroad under a different brand – Riddara.

Geely itself did not report the reasons for the rebranding. For example, Australian media claim that the Singaporean tire company Omni, which owns the trademark of the same name, opposed the use of Radar outside China.
Recall that the Radar/Riddara RD6 has a monocoque body. The pickup truck is built on the SEA platform, which also underlies the electric vehicles of other Geely sub-brands. By the way, the RD6 body is a derivative of the pre-reform Geely HaoYue/Okavango crossover. The truck also inherited the interior from the SUV.
The pickup length is 5260 mm, width – 1900 mm, height – 1830 mm, wheelbase – 3120 mm. Dimensions of the cargo area: 1525/1450/540 mm. The passport ground clearance of the export Riddara RD6 is 221 mm.
Only a rear-wheel drive pickup is currently available in foreign markets. This RD6 has an electric motor with a power of 272 hp. (384 Nm). For the Riddara model, there are two batteries to choose from — with a capacity of 63 or 86 kWh. Cruising range — 385 or 517 km according to the Chinese CLTC cycle.

Meanwhile, in China this year the pickup truck has a twin-engine all-wheel drive version of the Horizon with a different front end design and an updated interior. The total output of this modification is 428 hp. and 594 Nm. It is possible that later the Riddara RD6 will also get an all-wheel drive version.
