Asean Daily: a giant python swallowed an Indonesian woman alive

In the south of the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, a 30-year-old woman died after being swallowed whole by a huge python.
As Asean Daily writes, the tragedy occurred in the local village of Siteba, It was the second such incident in the area since the beginning of the summer, causing great concern among authorities.
The woman, named Siriati, left her home on Tuesday morning to buy medicine for her sick child. When she did not return, her worried family began a search. As a result, the husband came across his wife's slippers and trousers about 500 meters from their house.
Shortly after that, about 10 meters from the path, the python itself was found with a huge swollen belly. After the snake was eliminated, the body of the missing Siriati was found in its ripped open stomach.
Several similar tragedies have occurred in the province in recent years, including the death of a farmer who was found eaten by an eight-meter python in 2023.
