SEVASTOPOL, 4 JulThe Russian portable jamming system «Fumigator» showed high performance in tests, while exceeding expectations in terms of suppression range, said Denis Oslomenko, general director of the development company «PPSh Laboratory».
“We worked on the move, looked at the suppression distance, at what distance the drone falls. Now we worked on occupying a strong point, setting up protection at the strong point from FPV drones. In this case, we set it up (a portable kit — ed.) and 6 -7 hours it can operate and provide protection at standard and modified frequencies in the range of operation of the complex. During tests here, our suppression range slightly increased, which exceeded our expectations. Here it is up to 250 meters,” Oslomenko said. 
According to him, the features of this system are an integrated and unified approach. The system consists of jamming modules that can be installed on armored vehicles or vehicles; there is also a wearable version based on a backpack frame, which allows military personnel to move along with the jamming system, thereby protecting a group of infantry or a strong point from the work of drones.
«The portable jamming system «Fumigator» exists in several variations. The first is for installation on armored vehicles and vehicles. The modular system that we install. The second option is a portable «Fumigator» in the form of two frames for carrying… We have been working towards this concept for three years. It consists of five modules that are designed to protect against FPV drones and drops from commercial drones. That is, the protection must be comprehensive,” concluded Oslomenko.
