MOSCOW, July 4 The investigation asks for the arrest of the commander of the 83rd Separate Guards Air Assault Order of Suvorov Brigade Artem Gorodilov in the case of fraud, reported in the 235th garrison military court.
“The court received materials on the investigator’s petition to select a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to Artyom Gorodilov,” said the agency’s interlocutor. 
He is charged with fraud on an especially large scale (part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), added in court.
The Kommersant newspaper wrote that the guard colonel was detained by FSB officers in Ryazan and then taken to Moscow.
In February 2023, the US State Department banned the entry of more than 1.2 thousand Russian military personnel into the country in connection with the situation around Ukraine, among them was Gorodilov.
