MOSCOW, July 3 The official exchange rate of the yuan to the ruble, set by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation for Thursday, decreased by 0.81 kopecks, to 11.8936 rubles, the dollar exchange rate decreased by 4.15 kopecks, to 87.9506 rubles, the euro increased by 88.79 kopecks, to 94.5829 rubles, follows from data from the Bank of Russia.
After the US sanctions on the Moscow Exchange, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, from June 13, sets the official dollar and euro exchange rates on business days based on bank reports and over-the-counter trading information. At the same time, the yuan exchange rate is still determined at the market rate of the Moscow Exchange.
On June 12, the United States expanded sanctions against Russia to include the Moscow Exchange. Against this background, exchange trading in the dollar and euro was suspended and transferred to the over-the-counter market.
