The Basmanny District Court of Moscow ordered a ban on certain actions for three defendants in the case of racist attacks. Cards on the election of a preventive measure have been published in the database of Moscow courts.
According to the information on the website, the defendants in the case were eighth-grader Pavel Ryazantsev, communications college student Andrei Detkovsky and radio equipment installer Sergei Korolenkov. According to investigators, all three were involved in attacks on “persons of Asian nationality for hooligan reasons.”
The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case about hooligan attacks on July 14, 2023. In July 2023, eight teenagers were sent to pre-trial detention center for the same case. It was reported that they were involved in the neo-Nazi group Paragraph-88 and attacked migrants in the Bitsevsky forest.
The preventive measure for Ryazantsev, Detkovsky and Korolenkov was chosen on May 7, 2024. The resolutions say that they are accused of hooliganism with the use of weapons, and Korolenkov is also charged with robbery. The text of the decisions states that the proceedings in their case were merged with two other cases.
As “Caution, News” noted, one of the cases — under articles on preparation for murder for hire due to political and national hatredand storage of weapons with ammunition — connected with the preparation of the assassination attempt on Margarita Simonyan, which was allegedly organized by two nationalists from Paragraph-88: 22-year-old Egor Savelyev and 18-year-old Mikhail Balashov.
Second case, which is mentioned in the decisions on three Muscovites, was initiated on April 26, 2024 under the article on robbery committed by an organized group.
In June 2024, the preventive measure was extended for Ryazantsev, Detkovsky and Korolenkov. The decisions to continue the ban on certain actions say that their cases were combined with another one — under articles about incitement to hatred on the basis of race and nationality and organizing the activities of a terrorist organization and participating in it. The case itself was opened on June 3, 2024.
On July 4, Ryazantsev, Detkovsky and Korolenkov should have their preventive measure extended again. According to the information in the court records, Ryazantsev and Detkovsky are now also charged with participation in a terrorist organization and robbery.
