MOSCOW, July 3 Subjects will be able to independently determine features of the organization of electronic voting in regional elections, in accordance with their level of technical capabilities.
“The new procedure for electronic voting will allow regions to organize the voting process, taking into account the results already achieved in digitalization, the habits (preferences) of voters and other features,” Bulaev said at a meeting of the Central Election Commission.
He clarified that it is necessary to create conditions for the exercise of active suffrage by every voter, regardless of his life circumstances. For this purpose, both remote electronic voting and paper ballots can be used, if without them it is impossible to organize voting for individual groups of voters.
