ROSTOV-ON-DON, July 5 Residents of Rostov-on-Don mistook an incident with a girl who wanted to ride in the trunk of a car as a kidnapping , said a representative of the Russian Main Internal Affairs Directorate for the Rostov region.
According to him, the police received information about the abduction of a child in the Sovetsky district of Rostov-on-Don. The applicant said that he was doing installation work in one of the houses and saw how two unknown people placed the boy in the trunk of a car and then disappeared. 
«During the police investigation, the fact of the abduction was not confirmed. Police officers found that a group of friends — two young men 19 and 24 years old, as well as a 20-year-old girl were driving around the city in a car, at which time the last I wanted to ride in the luggage compartment of a vehicle,” he said.
The police interviewed Rostovites and held a preventive conversation with them to prevent similar incidents in the future.
