ST. PETERSBURG, July 4. The fast payment system (FPS) is planned to be fully launched in the Moscow metro this summer, said Zhanna Ermolina, deputy head of the Moscow metro for the development of customer services and work with passengers.
«We have finally completed all means of payment: these are ticket offices, ticket machines, and turnstiles. We plan to launch this summer (the Faster Payment System — ed.) in order to give passengers the opportunity to use technology without physical cards,” Ermolina said at the Financial Congress of the Bank of Russia.
Earlier, Maxim Liksutov, deputy mayor of the capital for transport, reported that payment through St. Petersburg in an open test mode was launched at all turnstiles of the Moscow metro and the Moscow Central Circle (MCC).
