MOSCOW, July 4 State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin instructed the State Duma Security Committee to work on the issue of deputies and senators traveling abroad after the termination of their powers.
State Duma deputy Sultan Khamzaev at a plenary meeting on Thursday proposed extending for two to three years the ban on the travel of deputies and senators abroad when their status is no longer valid.
«It's a good proposal, in fact it applies to civil servants, if a civil servant is cleared for classified information, has the first form of clearance — restrictions are introduced for five years. Let us ask our specialized committee to work on these issues, perhaps it will be a committee on security. If we make this decision, and it will be a responsible one, then we will definitely have people elected who understand that they are working in the interests of the country and this is not a walk in the park,” he said at the plenary session
