DONETSK, July 5 On Friday, Ukrainian troops fired one MLRS missile at Donetsk, as well as 12 NATO shells of 155 mm caliber, including cluster type, at Petrovsky district of Donetsk and Gorlovka, the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC) reported.
«Shock from the armed formations of Ukraine was recorded in the direction: 12.23 — the city of Donetsk, one missile was fired from the MLRS,» the department said in a statement published on its Telegram channel.
Later, the representative office reported that the Leninsky district of the city came under fire, presumably from HIMARS rocket artillery.
In addition, from 12.10 to 13.45, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired 12 NATO shells of 155 mm caliber, two of them cassette type, into the Petrovsky district of Donetsk and Gorlovka.
Petrovsky district is located on the western outskirts, this is the most distant part of the city from the center.
Gorlovka is located 50 kilometers north of Donetsk, the city is home to the Stirol chemical concern and coal mining enterprises. This is one of the largest populated areas of the DPR; before the start of the conflict in Donbass, the population of Gorlovka numbered more than 250 thousand people.
