MOSCOW, July 5 The movement of MCD-3 trains towards Ramenskoye and long-distance commuter trains on the Kazan direction has been suspended due to the situation at the Elektrozavodskaya station, Moscow Railways reported.
«Due to a powerful thunderstorm front, Today at 19.06 at the Elektrozavodskaya station on the Kazan direction, a strong gust of wind tore off elements of the canopy, which damaged the contact wire… At present, the movement of MCD-3 trains towards Ramenskoye and long-distance electric trains of the Kazan direction has been suspended,» the report says.
In the Moscow Railway noted that, according to preliminary information, no one was hurt. A repair crew is working on the scene.
«All necessary measures are being taken to resume traffic as soon as possible. We apologize to passengers for the inconvenience caused,» the Moscow Railway concluded.
