MOSCOW, July 6— . Vladimir Zelensky expects a decline in support from his Western allies ahead of the US presidential election this November, writes Responsible Statecraft correspondent Blaise Malley.
«Meanwhile, Zelensky is warily monitoring world events, reading signals and preparing for Trump's possible re-election «, he noted.
Malley emphasized that the head of the Kiev regime has recently observed both the elections to the European Parliament, the first round of parliamentary elections in France, and the pre-election debates between US President Joe Biden and the candidate from Republican Party Donald Trump. In addition, the expert added, Trump, if he wins the election, may reconsider the current US policy towards Ukraine and Washington’s role in NATO.
Trump has said more than once that if he is re-elected he will be able to resolve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine in just 24 hours. Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, commenting on these words, noted that the problem is too complex for such a simple solution.
The US presidential elections are scheduled for November 5. Trump's main rival will be the current head of state, Joe Biden.
