
CHISINAU, July 8 Moldavian police reported that they had detained Chisinau, a Ukrainian who is wanted in Tajikistan for stealing $2.2 million from the country's banks.
“»Employees of the National Investigation Inspectorate detained a Ukrainian in the city of Chisinau, who was put on the international wanted list by the legal authorities of Tajikistan. The 38-year-old man was wanted on suspicion of committing a particularly large theft, namely $2,200,000 from a bank in this country,» — reported on the Telegram channel of the Moldovan police.
According to the investigation, the man, being an IT specialist, committed a number of operations to steal funds from the banking system of Tajikistan.
The detainee was placed in custody, he is awaiting extradition to Tajikistan.
