On Monday, deputies from the LDPR faction will submit to the State Duma a bill to provide women with a child under 7 years of age with an additional paid day off every two months to accompany the child when they undergo a medical examination.

The bill proposes to supplement Chapter 41 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation with a new article 2611, according to which a woman who has a child under the age of seven, upon her written application, is granted an additional paid day off once every two months. Payment for such days off is made in the amount of average earnings, and the schedule for their provision is agreed upon by the employee and the employer.
The draft standards are planned to come into force on January 1, 2025.
