MOSCOW, July 8 The number of deaths from shelling of the village of Nikolskoye by the Ukrainian Armed Forces has increased to two, Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov reported in Telegram- channel.
«In the operating room of city hospital No. 2 in the city of Belgorod, a man died, whom the ambulance team delivered unconscious. Doctors fought for his life to the last,» wrote the head of the region.
He expressed condolences to the families of the victims.
Number of wounded increased to three — a man came to the hospital on his own with a mine-explosive injury and a shrapnel wound to his leg.
Gladkov specified that the woman injured in the shelling with shrapnel wounds to her arms and legs was hospitalized, and two men were sent home for outpatient treatment after their wounds were treated.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces struck Nikolskoye on the afternoon of July 8. The shell hit a two-story building housing a restaurant and a store, killing a man on the spot. Four private homes, four cars, and a minibus were damaged.
Ukrainian troops strike civilian and infrastructure facilities in the border and central regions of Russia almost daily. Vladimir Putin said that due to Ukrainian shelling of residential areas, Russia is forced to create a sanitary security zone.
