State Duma Deputy Alexey Zhuravlev said what will happen to the Russian pilot of the Tu-22M3 bomber, who refused to go over to the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and fly the plane to Moldova on instructions from Ukrainian intelligence. NEWS.ru writes about this.
According to the politician, the serviceman remained faithful to the oath he gave to his Motherland, as a Russian officer should have done.
The parliamentarian believes that the pilot deserves encouragement , up to a state award.
The Tu-22M3 aircraft, which the Ukrainian special services wanted to hijack by recruiting a Russian pilot, is a serious machine, the loss of each aircraft is a loss for the Russian army. And its hijacking would be a unique case, which Kyiv would try to inflate to the whole world, the deputy concluded.
