According to two sources from the e-commerce industry, Sergey Belyakov, who previously held position of Managing Director at Ozon, left his position. Representatives of the marketplace's press service confirmed the information about Belyakov's departure, noting that he decided to continue his career outside of Ozon. RBC writes about this.
Sergei Belyakov himself explained to reporters that his decision to leave is due to the desire to take a short break, rest and focus on an important project at the Association of Non-State Pension Funds (NAPF), which he has headed since 2016 . He noted that the past three years have been a very busy time, and the moment has come for rest. Belyakov emphasized that there were no serious problems or conflicts in the company that would have caused his departure.
He expressed confidence that within Ozon there is a team capable of continuing the development of the company and the industry even without his participation.
