Russia increased supplies of fertilizers to Brazil

MOSCOW, July 8Russia in June increased fertilizer supplies to Brazil to the maximum since March 2023, $338 million, according to the Brazilian Statistical Service.
Thus, at the beginning of summer, the export of Russian fertilizers increased in annual terms by 18%, and in monthly terms — by 11% — to $338 million. This was the maximum since March 2023, when Brazil purchased $378 million worth of fertilizers from Russia.

The basis of Russian fertilizer exports to Brazil in June was potash fertilizers, supplies of which increased by 8% over the year to $160 million.

Next are mixed fertilizers – their sales increased by 41%, to $129 million. Finally, Brazil’s purchases of nitrogen fertilizers also increased by 8%, to $49.5 million.
Russia remained the main supplier of fertilizers to Brazil at the beginning of summer. Canada was second, increasing exports by 19% to $184 million. Morocco moved up to third place after its shipments jumped 2.3 times to $147 million. The top five is completed by China ($127 million) and Egypt ($80 million).
