Ministry of Finance: the Russian budget deficit in the period from January to June amounted to 0.5% of GDP
The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation in a publication on its official website reported that, according to preliminary estimates, the federal deficit Russia's budget in the period from January to June of this year amounted to 929 billion rubles, or 0.5% of GDP from the projected indicators for 2024.
The department indicated that based on the results of January-June of this year, the federal budget was formed with a deficit of 929 billion rubles, which is 1.421 trillion rubles below the level for the same period last year. Thus, as noted by the Ministry of Finance, the execution of the federal budget is carried out in accordance with the parameters of the primary structural deficit, which is determined by the budget law. Operations for the use and formation of NWF funds are carried out within the framework of the budget rule.
According to the department, Russian budget revenues for the corresponding reporting period amounted to 17.093 trillion rubles, exceeding last year's figures by 38%. Expenses, in turn, increased by 22.3%, reaching 18.022 trillion rubles.
