
ST. PETERSBURG, July 8. The pile-up of ships occurred near the Palace Bridge on the Neva River in St. Petersburg, the transport police are conducting an inspection, reports the press service of the transport department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Northwestern Federal District.
“Today the duty department of the St. Petersburg linear department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on water transport received a message that today at about one in the morning there was a pile-up of ships downstream from the Palace Bridge,” the department reported.
It turned out that the small boat had collided, as a result of which the second boat received scratches on the port side.
«The driver fled the scene of the incident. There were no injuries, no oil spill,» added the press service of the transport police.
A check is being carried out on this fact, all the circumstances of what happened are being clarified.
