The Basmanny District Court of Moscow arrested Yulia Navalnaya in absentia, the press service of the Moscow courts reports. A case was brought against her under the article on participation in an extremist community (Part 2 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code).
In a message, the press service says that “Yulia Borisovna hid from the preliminary investigation authorities, and therefore is put on the wanted list » At the same time, at the time of publication of the news, there was no card in the wanted list of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the name of Yulia Navalnaya.
The press service announced Navalnaya’s arrest in absentia immediately after the working day ended. There is no information on the website of the Moscow courts about the meeting of the Basmanny Court. That is, information about him was specially hidden so that no one could observe the trial, which by default is being held in open mode.
After Mediazona wrote that there is no card of the arrest case on the Moscow website Yulia Navalnaya, she appeared. It says that the meeting took place today at 15:00 under the chairmanship of Judge Elena Lenskaya. The arrest decree itself will not be published with reference to the rule of law, of which only the reason “affecting the security of the state” applies to this case.
Navalnaya herself commented on the news of the arrest in absentia as follows: “Oh, what won’t happen?” normal procedure? A foreign agent, then the opening of a criminal case, then an arrest?! When you write about this, please do not forget to write the main thing: Vladimir Putin is a murderer and a war criminal. His place is in prison, and not somewhere in The Hague, in a cozy cell with a TV, but in Russia — in the same colony and the same 2 by 3 meter cell in which he killed Alexei.”
The court does not disclose the details of the charges against Navalnaya. After Alexei Navalny was killed in the colony, Yulia announced that she would continue her husband’s work.
