MOSCOW, July 9 Farewell to the People's Artist of the USSR, prima ballerina Marina Kondratyeva will take place at the Bolshoi Theater on July 11, after which she will be buried at Troekurovsky cemetery, the theater press service reported.
Kondratieva died on Monday night at the age of 91.
“»Farewell to Marina Kondratyeva will take place on July 11 at 11 a.m. at the Bolshoi Theater, and the funeral will take place at Troekurovskoye Cemetery, funeral service at 12.30,» said a representative of the press service.
Marina Kondratieva was born on February 1, 1934 in Leningrad. In 1952, she graduated from the Moscow Choreographic School (class of Galina Petrova) and became an artist of the Bolshoi Theater ballet troupe. In addition, she graduated from GITIS in 1980, after which she taught there and then at the Moscow State Academy of Choreography.
Kondratieva has been a teacher-tutor for the Bolshoi Theater ballet troupe since 1980. Lyudmila Semenyaka, Galina Stepanenko, Anna Antonicheva, Ekaterina Shipulina, Natalya Osipova, Olga Smirnova, Yulia Stepanova, Margarita Shreiner, Nelly Kobakhidze, Ana Turazashvili, Antonina Chapkina, Nina Biryukova rehearsed under her direction.
