NEW DELHI, July 9 India will open two new consulates in Kazan and Yekaterinburg, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said during a conversation with the Indian community in Russia.

“This will contribute to the development of tourism and business activity,” he said.

The politician noted that relations between Russia and India are built on a foundation of trust and respect.

The Prime Minister noted that he was coming to Russia for the sixth time in the last ten years. At the same time, he met with Putin 17 times, and all these meetings increased trust and respect between the leaders.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official visit to Russia takes place on July 8-9, this is his first trip to the country in five years. Negotiations between the leaders of the two states are taking place in Moscow. As the Kremlin clarified, politicians will discuss the prospects for the further development of “traditionally friendly” Russian-Indian relations, as well as current issues on the international and regional agenda.
