MOSCOW, July 9 Russia and India agreed to consider the possibility of concluding new long-term contracts in the field of energy trade. A joint statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the development of strategic directions of Russian-Indian economic cooperation until 2030 was published on the Kremlin website.
«The parties reaffirmed the importance of sustainable and multifaceted cooperation in the energy sector as an important pillar of a particularly privileged strategic partnership. In this context, they noted the continued special importance of bilateral trade in energy resources and agreed to consider the possibility of concluding new long-term contracts,» the statement said.< br />
