BRUSSELS, July 11 NATO increases air defense and missile defense capabilities, including the activation of the new Aegis Ashore base in Poland, according to the declaration following the summit in the United States.
«We are determined to deter and defend against all air and missile threats by strengthening our integrated air and missile defences… We are pleased to announce an increase in NATO's operational missile defense capabilities. The launch of Aegis Ashore in Poland complements existing facilities in Romania, Spain and Turkey,» the document states.
