MOSCOW, July 11 The Russian government will allocate about 3.6 billion rubles to support energy in new regions of the Russian Federation, the Russian Prime Minister said Mikhail Mishustin at a Cabinet meeting on Thursday.

"Today we will also allocate resources to support the energy sector of new regions. As part of the program for the socio-economic development of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, we will allocate about 3.6 billion rubles for such purposes,” Mishustin said.
According to him, about 780 million rubles will be used to restore distribution networks, including the purchase of specialized equipment, tools, clothing and personal protective equipment. Over 2.8 billion rubles are intended for the formation of reserves — equipment and materials necessary for the stable operation of electric power facilities.
«Such assistance will make it possible to quickly carry out repairs where required in order to guarantee a reliable and safe energy supply to all consumers in new regions. Citizens there will receive the energy they need, including for a comfortable life,» Mishustin emphasized.< br />
