There will be no talks between Putin and Modi in an expanded format, Peskov said

MOSCOW, July 9 Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi exhaustively discussed the entire agenda during negotiations in a narrow format; there is no need for an expanded format, said the Russian leader’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov.

"There will be no extended composition. Almost the entire agenda was now closed. We sat there for more than 2.5 hours,” Peskov told reporters.

“All topics were closed,” he added.

As Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said following the Russian-Indian negotiations, Putin and Modi reviewed in detail the entire range of issues of relations between the Russian Federation and India.

The Prime Minister himself noted that India and Russia are within the framework of the negotiations made important decisions aimed at strengthening cooperation in all areas.
Modi's official visit to Russia took place on July 8-9, this was his first trip to the Russian Federation in five years. On Monday he met with Putin in an informal setting in Novo-Ogarevo. On Tuesday, the Prime Minister, together with the head of the Russian Federation, visited the ATOM pavilion at the Russia exhibition, and the leaders also held talks in the Kremlin.
