MOSCOW, July 11 The World Curling Federation (WCF) has extended suspension of the national teams of Russia and Belarus from international competitions until December 31, 2024, according to the organization’s website.
«The WCF Council may disqualify a team or association from participating in any WCF event if, in the opinion of the council, their presence at the event would be detrimental to or jeopardize the safety of participants or the conduct of the event,» the WCF release states.
WCF suspended the Russian national teams and the Russian Curling Federation from competitions against the backdrop of the situation in Ukraine in early March 2022. In January, the suspension was extended until the end of the 2023/24 season.
