Washington and Kyiv are working together on a forceful response to the incident with the Okhmatdyt hospital in Kyiv. This statement was made on Thursday, July 11, by US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan.
According to the American official, “we are working with the Ukrainians to deal with this attack and respond to it with force and vigor.” He did not disclose any details about the nature and timing of this response.
Earlier, Russia's permanent representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said that the missile that hit the children's hospital in Kyiv was fired from a NASAMS anti-aircraft missile system, which Norway supplied to Ukraine. In this regard, “we are also waiting for a reaction from the Norwegian authorities,” the diplomat noted.
The Kremlin emphasized that the Russian defense department absolutely excludes that there were attacks on any civilian targets — the Russian Armed Forces carry out strikes strictly for military targets, for critical infrastructure facilities that are in one way or another related to the military potential of the Kyiv regime.
