Reuters: 22 people killed in school collapse in Nigeria

22 people were killed as a result of the collapse of a two-story school building in Plateau state in central Nigeria, reports Reuters.
A total of 154 people were killed under the rubble, and all but the dead were rescued and handed over to doctors.
30 people are still in hospital, the Nigeria National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said in a social media post, adding, that rescue efforts have been completed and the rubble area has been cleared.
A two-storey building belonging to Saint Academy in Busa Buji community in the northern Jos region of the state collapsed during classes early Saturday morning. Building collapses are common in Africa's most populous country due to lax enforcement of safety regulations and often poor-quality building materials.
