In Bashkiria, more than 45 children were evacuated from a camp due to rising river levels

UFA, July 12 Rescuers evacuated more than 45 children from a Bashkir camp due to rising levels of the Bolshoi Ik River after rain, but the removal of another 31 children was suspended due to high water levels, reported the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Bashkiria.
«Due to the rise in the water level in the Bolshoi Ik River, early closure of the shift was organized at the children's health center «Muradym» with the removal of children to their homes. The removal is carried out through the ford of the Bolshoi Ik River by a shift bus. 49 people have already been taken out, including 46 children,” the message says.

The department reports that the evacuation of children is currently suspended due to high water levels. “44 people remained in the camp, including 31 children. There is a sufficient supply of food and drinking water. There is no threat of flooding of the camp. There have been no complaints,” the rescuers added.

Rescuers from the Ufa search and rescue team of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and the State Committee of the Republic of Belarus for Emergency Situations are on duty. Boats and life jackets are available. 21 people and 8 pieces of equipment were involved. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Bashkortostan operates an operational headquarters. The situation is under control, the department reports.
The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Bashkiria clarified that the level of the Bolshoy Ik mountain river rose after heavy rainfall.
