KRASNODAR, July 12 An eighteen-year-old terrorist who planned an attack on the Holy Assumption Cathedral in Maykop planned to fly to Istanbul after committing the crime, the joint press service reported courts of Adygea.
Security forces prevented an attack on an Orthodox church in Maikop in Adygea; a man from the Central Asian country planned to kill clergy and guards and set the building on fire, the FSB said on Thursday. On Friday, the accused was remanded in custody until September 10. 
According to the court, we are talking about an 18-year-old citizen of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan with no previous convictions.
According to the investigation materials, the accused was a supporter of the radical religious ideology of the international terrorist organization «Islamic State» banned in Russia, who decided to set fire to the Archangel Michael Church.
«To implement his criminal intent, he sought out a resident of the city of Maykop, as well as funds to commit a terrorist act together with him. In addition, the accused purchased an electronic ticket for a flight to Istanbul in order to hide from law enforcement agencies after committing a crime,» — the message says.
